There are two types of Abstract submission for
the ASNOS 2022
1. Walsh in Asia submission
2. Scientific paper submission
*The abstract committee may recommend changing scientific abstract type based on the content
of the abstract.
1. Walsh in Asia
- Abstracts selected by the committee will be presented as oral presentations during the Walsh
in Asia symposium (date will be updated soon). Abstracts that are not selected for Walsh in
Asia symposium will be offered the opportunity to present as a poster presentation.
2. Scientific Paper (Case Reports or Other)
- Authors must select whether they would like the abstract to be considered for platform
presentation or poster presentation. Abstracts accepted for platform presentation will be
presented during 1 of 2 Free Paper sessions during the ASNOS 2022 congress. Abstracts not
accepted for platform presentation will be offered the opportunity to be presented as poster
presentation.
- The presenting author must be a registered participant for the ASNOS 2022 congress.
- ASNOS 2022 congress will not accept abstracts that have been accepted for publication at
the time of submission.
- Advertising or any form of commercial solicitation is not allowed in ASNOS abstract
presentations without prior approval from the ASNOS 2022 congress.

SCIENTIFIC PAPER (Case reports or other) ABSTRACT PREPARATION
GUIDELINES:
- Abstracts must be in English.
- All abstracts should be submitted online via (submission system).
- The title should be as brief as possible but long enough to indicate clearly the nature of
the
study. Capitalize the first letter of each word.
- The word limit for all abstracts is 300 words NOT including Title, Authors, Affiliations,
Disclosures and References.
- Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted. Please edit your abstract carefully to
avoid
errors and misspellings.
- Title: Title should be as brief as possible but long enough to
give clear nature of the
study.
Capitalize the first letter of each word.
- Author(s): Provide the full name of every author, including
degrees. but omit titles or
institutional appointments.
- Institution(s): Indicate the name and address of the
institution(s) where the research work
was carried out.
- Abstracts should be arranged in the following format:
Case reports
- Abstracts should state briefly and clearly describe the case(s) and conclusions including
interesting features or teaching points
- Introduction – Concisely state relevant background
information.
- Description – Include relevant case data.
- Conclusions – Give emphasis on the uniqueness of the case
and its key
learning points.
Non-case reports (Other)
- Abstracts should state briefly and clearly the purpose, methods, results and conclusions
of the study.
- Objective – Concisely state purpose and relevant
background information.
- Methods – Describe study design, how subjects were
selected, and the
number of subjects and/or observations included in the study.
- Results – State in a logical sequence, include
quantitative descriptions and/or
comparisons.
- Conclusions – State new and/or important feature of the
study, and
conclusions drawn from it
- Abbreviations, acronyms, and symbols should be defined the first time they are used. Place
the abbreviation in parentheses after the full word.
- Use generic names of drugs.
- Proprietary and/or financial interests in any products (or competing products) described in
the
abstract must be disclosed.
- The Scientific Program Subcommittee reserves the right to accept or reject the abstracts
submitted for platform or poster presentation as it deems appropriate.
Posters guideline
- Posters should have the following maximum dimensions: Height = 4 feet (122 cm.); Width =
3 feet (91.5 cm).
- The poster should be readable from a distance of 3 feet (1 meter).
- ASNOS 2022 congress will not accept abstracts that have been accepted for publication at
the time of submission.
- Drawing pins and/or adhesive tapes will be provided to all poster presenters at the
congress.
- Please use traditional fonts (Arial, Times New Roman, or Gill Sans). Use Bold or Italics for
emphasis. Do not underline anything. Please avoid using all capital letters except at the
beginning of sentences and proper nouns. Include financial disclosures.
Platform Presentation (Free Paper)
The speaker will be given 7 minutes to present his/her paper and 3 minutes to answer
questions from the audience. Include relevant financial disclosures at the beginning of the
presentation.
